Application for MURL(s)
TERMS & CONDITIONS
| 1) | Register, host, and be the owner, administrative, billing, and technical party for a measured URL (mURL™) to be used for testing on SMARTPages.com. ARC will determine the parameters and identification of each mURL™. |
| 2) |
ARC will program the mURL™ so that when it is accessed by a visitor through a measured ad on SMARTPages.com it will forward the visitor through the ARC on the net server to be counted and then on to the advertiser's Web site address/page indicated on the order form. All reports will contain the domain designation of the visitor, date, time, directory code, directory name, heading searched, and query string, when available. The first report will be issued between the first and fifteenth day of the month following the activation of the mURL on SMARTPages.com. Since visits are reported on a monthly calendar basis, the first report might cover only a partial month. Visitor detail is reported once. Therefore, each month provides fresh visitor details. A monthly summary count showing a total number of visitors since the start of the test to the current month will be reported. |
| 3) | Please expect the mURL to be available approximately 10 business days after form is approved and received by ARC Research for processing. The date on which the mURL™ will become deactivated is measured from the day the mURL™ is launched. Please note: test of a duration of 10 months will be registered for 12 month time period and those with 10 or more months will be registered for 24 months. |
| It is understood that: | |
| 4) | The time lapse between accessing the mURL™ and reaching the designated Web site address will vary depending on the user's modem, Internet connection type and speed. Generally, visitors using a 56k modem can access Web site in a matter of seconds. |
| 5) | ARC on the net is not responsible for the following problems which might impede the ability of the visitor to access the Web site through the mURL™: power outages; malfunctioning servers, computers, Internet service providers, and Web sites; computer viruses, and acts of God. |
| 6) | Authorized Representative or Web site owner and SMARTPages.com understand that ARC will begin the setup of the mURL within 24 hours of the receipt of the order or on the next business day. Please allow up to 10 business days for the mURL™ to become functional. If Authorized Representative or Web site owner requires to take ownership of the mURL after the test period ends for any purposes, the mURL registration must be updated in order for the mURL to function. ARC will email a mURL Transfer Request Form to the web site owner to request technical information pertinent to the transfer. It is the web site owner's responsibility to provide this information to ARC or the mURL(s) will be terminated. |
| 7) | ARC will invoice SMARTPages.com for 100% of the cost of the test in accordance with the agreed upon rate schedule and billing terms. |
| 8) | Rights of Usage: Authorized Representative or Web site owner will not publicly disclose the results of the test, which is the subject of this agreement. SBCDO and SMARTpages.com may use, as promotional materials, ad description of the test, the Internet Yellow Page directory type, the directory heading, and the outcome of the test, but may not, without express permission of the advertiser, publicly disclose the advertiser’s identity involved in the test. |
| 9) | Authorized Representative or Web site owner agrees to not use this mURL™ on any marketing material, company collateral, or advertisements for the duration of the test period in order to have a valid test of the ad appearing on SMARTPages.com. |
| 10) | Renewal of the mURL
at the conclusion of the registration period will be the sole responsibility
of the Authorized Representative or Web site owner. |
| 11) | ARC will notify SMARTPages.com of the mURL registered for the test, which must be included in the ad file. |
|
REQUEST FOR MULTIPLE UNIQUE mURL™(s): A unique mURL™ must be registered for item (UDAC) you want tracked and reported individually. Please note: ARC will register one mURL™ for each unique UDAC, Heading & Directory combination. Each unique mURL™ must be pointed to the SAME Web site address and be redirected to the same URL. ARC will determine the parameters and identification of each mURL™.
