Online Surveys and Data Analysis
Study Design
Online quantitative
surveys enable businesses to obtain pertinent quantitative information
about their customers or employees in a fast, efficient, and cost-effective
manner. Our online survey methodology and process accounts for all
the research and programming details from start to finish. Quantitative
online surveys can be used for a multitude of purposes. Some of
these applications are:
Strategic
Marketing Planning
- Product/service concept evaluation
- Online conjoint studies
- Brand awareness and perception
- Market & customer segmentation
Web Site
Evaluation
- Profile web site visitors
- Measure user interface usability including navigation, functionality,
content, and sensory satisfaction
Customer
& Employee Acquisition and Retention
- Lifestyle and media habits characteristics
- Customer servicing and satisfaction
- Job search process
The Electronic
Survey Portal provides:
- Study design:
ARC Research insures that all business objectives will be met
by the study methodology.
- Online survey
design: Defining the intended outcome is key in designing an online
survey that is highly pertinent and actionable. This is one of
the hallmarks of ARC Research services.
- Online survey
programming: ARC partners with qualified online survey service
bureaus, using sophisticated, proprietary survey software to quickly
program anything from the simple to the highly complex survey
with speed and ease. This is a customized solution that ensures
flexibility in questionnaire design.
A wide variety of question types are available such as: multiple
choice, radio buttons, scales, ranking, grids, open ends etc.
Surveys can accommodate skip patterns, piping, random and systematic
rotation of questions, error trapping, and forced answering. If
there is something you want to do, we are confident we have a
solution.
- Surveys can
be hosted on our service bureau's server, the ARC Research server,
or our client's server depending on security, capacity, and redundancy
requirements. In some cases where pop-up functionality is used,
a combination of servers will be used for a project. We encourage
use of the service bureau's sites for the questionnaire itself
because the server environment is specifically configured to manage
a high volume of market research surveys. This also ensures compatibility
between the software and the server, which translates to compressed
turn around time, eliminates user dropouts due to system errors,
and speeds the data downloading function at the conclusion of
data collection.
- Sample collection:
Sample can be obtained in several ways:
- E-mail
address lists can be obtained through site registrations, customer
or employee lists, and third party lists.
- Intercepts
can be programmed to appear on a Web site that invites visitors
to enter a contest or answer a survey. When the visitor clicks
on the icon the visitor is pre-qualified and then is prompted
to enter an email address for later contact or can be automatically
transferred to the questionnaire site.
- When a
project requires a nationally representative sample and such
a sample needs to be procured, it is feasible to partner with
leading panel management firms.
- ARC Research
can help you to develop PoPs (Proprietary online Panels) for
use in a specific study or for ongoing efforts.
- Data collection:
Large sample sizes are easily handled cost effectively. It has
been our experience that a large quantity of completed surveys
can be collected within the first 48 hours. ARC is experienced
with long term surveys that continue for a year or more if needed.
- Data processing:
ARC handles all data tabulation and coding using our proven methods
and leading software resources such as SPSS. We develop tabs plans
for all studies to ensure we have the flexibility required for
data reporting and analysis. This is important because our clients
are ensured they will have complete flexibility in data reporting.
- Analysis
and reporting: An in-depth analytic report is issued typically
within two weeks after the data collection is completed. Online
access to data collection status and preliminary, unaudited data
tables, is available for most studies.
